Lester Taylor //

I'm currently incarcerated in a Texas prison. I broke out with hives from eating pancakes which caused me to have an allergic reaction that led to swelling all over my body. I notified the nurse on duty when she came to the pod for pill windows. Due to my custody level, I'm locked in a cell 24 hours a day and have to be escorted everywhere by a correctional officer. Everything is brought to my cell. The nurse drops off medication, so I verbally told her what was going on and showed her the allergic reaction. The nurse was supposed to pull me out after she passed out the medication. No one came so I followed up with a written communication form called a nurse sick call. Two days went by and the swelling got worse. I've yet to receive a response to my nurse sick call or any medical attention. I haven't eaten pancakes since because the results could be fatal maybe. The nurses have a high volume of inmates to see because I'm on a maximum prison farm but due to the process, I have avoided going forward with healthcare.
