Here at the Prison Healthcare Project, we are a space for raw, powerful stories that would likely not leave prison walls without us. Through personal correspondence, we gather testimonials that illuminates how incarcerated people experience healthcare. By highlighting the narratives of a group that is often overlooked in discussions about healthcare, we are shining a light on all aspects of medical treatment in jail and giving a voice to those who go unheard. We advocate for better, more humanistic practices that prioritize the needs of incarcerated populations, centering their dignity and right to a positive healthcare experience.
